FORUM

Politicians, academics and social and cultural activists from across the globe will take part in selected panels in the Senate of the Republic of the Philippines. The result of deliberations will be included in the final document, Manila Platform for Action which will be submitted to Government, UN General Assembly and UNESCO Assembly. Professor Andy Knight of the International Relations Department of the University of Alberta will pilot this process in his role as rapporteur.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was born on March 28, 1945 in Maasin, Southern Leyte to Vicente Duterte and Soledad Roa who were both civil servants. His mother was a public school teacher while his father was a government worker.
